TOH or TOX One composite sample per Site
TPH (1664) One composite sample per Site

Soil Safe – Logan Sampling and Analysis Requirements for Industrial Sites and Non-Qualifying Commercial and Residential Sites (in addition to the above):

Test Sampling Frequency
PCB's (8082) One composite sample for every 800 cubic yards shipped
PAH's (8270 One composite sample for every 800 cubic yards shipped

Note: Other tests may be required depending on type of contamination. Soil not specifically exempted under 40CFR261.4 (b)(10) will require a Full TCLP List instead of TCLP Metals.

*`Analytical requirements can be reduced if all of the following conditions are met:

  1. Soils are from UST media and impacted with only virgin oil(s).
  2. Documentation is provided as defined in COMAR 26.10.13.07B. This may include but is not limited to:
    1. Material Characterization Report (MCR) see Appendix (1)
    2. MDE Underground Storage Tank Abandonment Document or equivalent
    3. Site history/use
  3. Classification of soils is sufficient to the satisfaction of Soil Safe, and/or the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE).

*`Reduced analyticals are:

  1. BTEX (8021)
  2. TPH (8015M) – As appropriate for the type of oil that was discharged.
